Tips for not getting fat for Christmas and New Year

The Christmas season is accompanied by family gatherings, novenas and of course the Christmas Eve and New Year dinners. In these events we offer snacks, desserts or dishes that are difficult to refuse, and of course, no one will want to do so. Faced with this panorama many people worry about the eventual increase in weight and what that would mean in sacrifice for the first months of the following year.

That's why I give you some tips to avoid gaining weight or, at least, that the increase is not significant. Start the days with some physical activity, this helps to combat the sedentary lifestyle, avoid eating between hours, avoid the temptations. Avoid sugary drinks, especially if foods are already sweet or fat, so you avoid adding more calories, you can also drink water between hours so you will clean the body, help to expel toxins and not accumulate as much fat.

If you are the host you can vary some recipes and opt for dishes rich in vegetables and baked dishes, avoiding hypercaloric foods. Avoid white bread. Change it for whole wheat bread. If you are in charge of the desserts it is important to control the amount of sugar you add. If instead of preparing them you plan to buy, remember that there are low sugar preparations on the market. And an additional tip: weigh yourself at least twice a week.

In this way you will be aware of the weight you are in and how much you have gone up. As you will realize, most tips aim to be disciplined and not to stop eating. We can enjoy, but with responsibility, avoiding excesses.
