In my work team there are people who speak English but not all are bilingual, do't get frustrated if you meet someone who does not speak English. Make sure that in the recovery house where you go, has a translator to facilitate your communication. For your comfort I recommend you learn the basics of Spanish. There are programs like Duolingo, which offer you the possibility to learn while having fun. In case you do not have time to practice Spanish you can use tools like the google translator. Is important that you always keep a positive attitude, so, the people around you will try to understand you and help you.
- You should know that Colombia by its geographical location has a great variety of foods that are probably exotic, with flavors never before proven by you. Whatever the menu of your recovery’s home, you can be sure that they will give you food appropriate for your post-operative. A product that you will see very often is rice, because this cereal is part of the daily food in Colombia.
